Nokia has just announced an update for the N900 Maemo 5 ver 1.2 (v10.2010.19-1). This update began running in the UK and globally will be distributed this week. In this update improved support for email, Facebook IM chat, video calls, browsing the standing mode, and improvements in the Nokia Ovi Maps.
Nokia for MeeGo in this device is not yet available. According to Nokia N900 though currently used for development and testing platform MeeGo, but no plans full commercial upgrade MeeGo in N900 and Maemo update will only be available on an ongoing basis.
Yet there may be third parties who would do this considering MeeGo is an open source project.
